Unique Challenges
Client wanted a system that would process industrial waste (sludge) in the most efficient manner.
Solution
Larson designed the new system to dewater the sludge in a two-stage process using a rotary screen thickener and screw press. The filtrate is then discharged to a waste water treatment system and the dewatered sludge is conveyed to a boiler fired by the waste fuel. This provides the client with a way to process the sludge and also produce energy for their operation.
